That is what someone is hoping for anyway.
Think the idea was better than the execution but might be improved with a bit more work - I sound like a teacher marking homework haha
It's always exciting to see how everyone has interpreted the theme.
Love this -- the pop of color with red ball is very cool. It's a great interpretation for the theme!
ReplyDeleteI was a bit worried it looked too much like a tongue. Can't sign in on my blog name - ignore the Brit in Brisbane its a defunct blog!
DeleteJust last night I was watching YouTube videos of how excited dogs get when they see they are on the way to the dog park. I especially like the ball in this happy pup's mouth. It says to me he/she wants BOTH of you to play and have a good time. Delightful.
ReplyDeleteThank you, they are happy little souls
DeleteSo accurate and life-like it is a great piece!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I thought of my sisters whippet that she used to have, they are such springy bouncy dogs that love to play
DeleteAdorable dog ready to go walkies in the park :)
ReplyDeleteThat was what I was aiming for thank you
DeleteBeautiful job on the dog and the hope in his eyes and stance ... and with the ball ready to go play with you! Never apologize for your work.
ReplyDeleteThank you - good advice
DeleteYou've really captured that doggy enthusiasm for the walk in your stitch drawing! I like the pop of colour with the ball too.
ReplyDeleteI love the way they are so enthusiastic about 'walkies'
DeleteHe is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWell done!

Thank you!
DeleteI know what you mean about "a bit more work"-- I don't think I ever really finish a piece -- I can always see possibilities for further details or even for a series. But he looks so energetic! Seeing him up on the wall would inspire me to go for a walk myself! :)
ReplyDeleteIt can be tempting to add a bit more but maybe leass is more. Thank you for the lovely comment
DeleteThis really is a captivating image. He's so characterful and looks exactly like he's on a walk in the park :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHe is chomping at the bit to get out and run! It is simple, but so very effective. Congrats on a great job.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm glad you think he gives that impression
DeleteYou've designed a wonderful quilt. I think the dog is asking with excitement, A walk in the PARK?? Oh, yeh, let's go!
ReplyDeleteI just read an article by Victoria Findlay Wolfe and to sum it up, she says she looks at what she's made and evaluates to see where she can shake it up next time. You can always add more, but maybe not to this one, but on the next one.
I love it! You can really see his enthusiasm on his face. I think it is perfect the way it is.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant - great interpretation and I love the feel of this piece. The red ball is great! We have 3 dogs and this is exactly how our Jack Russell looks when the lead comes out.
