I spent so long deciding what to do for this challenge I finished past midnight last night and had to take photos this morning before it was light. My aim was to create a piece inspired by and invoking a variety of emotions. I am currently babysitting so I will post with more detail, and hopefully, better pictures tonight or tomorrow.
I'm looking forward to seeing all the other quilts this quarter :)
I can totally relate to spending too long to decide Janine :) I love what you have posted so far and can't wait to find out more!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI really needed to hear the message in your piece! It reminded me of the saying "the best time to plant a tree was ten years ago; the next best time is today." This is such a striking and interesting piece - so intriguing to look at, I'm really looking forward to reading more.
ReplyDeleteI love the quote about planting a tree :)
DeleteWhat a perfect message. Beautifully done. I’ve always remembered an answer to a question from a newspaper columnist responding to someone who asked he he should go to medical school at age 40. She asked…How old will you be if you don’t go? It was such a great piece of advice…on par with your message here, and it’s a great way to live one’s life.
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful response from the newspaper columnist. Thank you for sharing it. I shall keep that in mind :)
