At first I had many ideas for "mosaics". But none of them worked. I almost decided to skip this posting. Then an idea came to me:Not thinking this is really a mosaic. Decided that the biological definition applied: an individual (especially an animal) composed of cells of two genetically different types.
The "flower" in yellow orange is actually a Dorset button that I made specially for this.
It looks like a mosaic to me, and a pretty one at that. Tbe colors are so soothing, and that button is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Wendy, the colors and shapes are very soothing -- and after working on my mosaic project, I needed some soothing! :)

DeleteLovely. It has the serenity of waterlilies.
ReplyDeleteI think it definitely works for a mosaic - really emphasises the lily shape and how they float together.
ReplyDeleteAs others have said, this is a serene and soothing piece and I think you've really captured the spirit of water lilies. I like the organic shapes of your leaves together with the intricacy and detail of your Dorset button :)
ReplyDeleteI love your Dorset button it was the perfect addition to your dreamy quilt :)
