Portrait and Van Gogh



 I made a pillow for my nephew with his kids' silhouettes.  My niece got pictures of the boys for me since they all live 500 miles away. There is an embroidery on the cover that you can not see very well. So here's a close-up. I have a sewing machine that does fancy embroidery!



Next is a bag I did from a Van Gogh painting. The quilted piece got reversed in the translation. But the thread painting was fun.

 Here's a close-up. The Van Gogh painting is titled "Wheat Field with Cypresses".

    You have been very busy Debbi! I love the silhouettes on the cushions, I am sure your nephew will love them too. Your bag is a masterpiece, how great to be able to carry such a lovely piece of art on your shoulder whenever you want :)

    Hi Blogger is doing something weird and not letting me comment logged in, Ruth here. I love the silhouettes. My mum had my cousins and I as silhouette brass heads on her charm bracelet when we were younger. So cute. Your bag is just beautiful!

    It looks like this prompt really inspired you, as you did two projects! The motion of your thread painting really sets off that Van Gogh, a great choice and execution!
